Hello, friends. I’ll keep this one short. My memoir My Life in the Sunshine is published today, June 7. I’d love it if you picked up a copy at your local independent bookstore. It’s also available at all the big places, and for your Kindle as well. There’s an audiobook that I spent 20 hours of my life reading (it’ll only take 7 hours to listen).
I’m excited to see some of you at my upcoming book tour events, which begin tonight in Brooklyn (more info below). Finally, thank you to everyone who has helped me get to this point. It’s taken years, and I’m thrilled with the result. I hope you like it.
If you want the 7-minute version, check out this CBS Saturday Morning segment that ran over the weekend.
My book tour begins tonight, June 7 in Brooklyn. I’ve wrangled some great conversation partners, including Wyatt Cenac, Hrishikesh Hirway, Joe Wong, Cheryl Waters, Liz Lambson, Justin Barney, Angel Bat Dawid, and Gilles Peterson, and I’m honored to have several local independent bookstores involved. If you’re unable to attend an in-person event, the June 10 Seattle event will be livestreamed.
More details and updates can be found HERE. More dates in July and August will be announced soon.
I hope to see you in the coming weeks
